Testing
We used Unigine's Valley benchmark, which stresses the card for prolonged periods, allowing thermal throttling to come into play - something that might not always be evident in shorter game benchmarks but is likely to offer similar results to extensive gaming sessions. The benchmark score is also fairly granular so any performance differences should be easily identifiable.

We used a Core i7-5960X running at stock speed, a Rampage V Extreme and a custom water-cooling loop consisting of an Alphacool NexXxos ST45 280 radiator and Corsair SP140mm fans set at 7V to cool the Titan X, along with an EK-FC Titan X full-cover waterblock and Laing DDC pump. We carried out the tests in isolation from our original Titan X testing using different hardware so the results aren't comparable.
